On Friday October 16 we celebrated in Santa Cecilia the second activity of the Sean Scully Art and Spirituality Institute consisting in hearing the songs of the Llibre Vermell ("Red Book") of Montserrat. The explanation and comments of Father Daniel Codina, director of the historic musical archive of Montserrat, made us fully understand the religious and cultural sense of these songs, which were often accompanied with dances. We hear the tightest and simple version of these songs played by the Parisian choir specialized in sacred old music Kantica Ensemble, directed by Kristin Hoefener. Attended about forty people who expressed their satisfaction for that time of helpful information and spiritual rest.
